The ALC861 version D (ALC861-VD-GR), 7.1 Channel High Definition Audio codec with UAA (Universal Audio Architecture), features four stereo DACs, one stereo ADC, mixing, mute, and gain control functions to provide an integrated audio solution for multimedia PC systems.

All analog IO (except CD-IN and PCBEEP) are input and output capable, and three headphone amplifiers are also integrated to drive earphones on front and rear panels.

Compared with previous versions of the ALC861, the ALC861-VD-GR features two GPIOs to support customized applications, one EAPD to control an external audio amplifier on laptop platforms, and its HDA bus is scalable IO ready for support of future chipsets.

The ALC861-VD-GR supports S/PDIF output function and a sampling rate of up to 96kHz. It offers easy connection of PCs to high quality consumer electronic products such as digital decoders and speakers.
